Central

The neighbourhood of Central is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Central will please house buyers that use a variety of modes of transportation. Central is quite transit friendly. For instance, train stations, such as the West Harbour Station on the Lakeshore West Line, are ordinarily a short walk away from the majority of residences in the neighbourhood. There are around 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Active home buyers will also enjoy the very walk-friendly nature of Central; many daily needs can be met by walking, and plenty of businesses are close by. Cycling is convenient in this part of the city as bike-share stations are never more than a few blocks away, and Central is home to a reasonably good bicycling infrastructure.

Services

In Central, families will usually be able to reach schools and daycares on foot. As far as food is concerned, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in Central. Likewise, this part of the city is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe, for instance on Hess Street. Property owners benefit from a fair number of nearby clothing stores.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Central. Parks are very easy to get to since there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy. Lastly, much of Central is quite quiet, although that is not the case near one of the railway lines.
