Grimsby Beach

Grimsby Beach is a neighbourhood within Grimsby, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the town is especially car friendly. Parking is easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way. This part of Grimsby is not very bicycling-friendly because there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very well-developed. It is also inconvenient for people travelling on foot to move around in Grimsby Beach because very few daily needs can be carried out on foot.

Services

In Grimsby Beach, parents and their children will generally be able to get to daycares and primary schools on foot. In contrast, there are no high schools in Grimsby Beach. Regarding food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to do groceries. There are a few opportunities for those who value close by restaurants.

Character

Grimsby Beach is quiet, as the streets tend to be calm - however noise can be bothersome near Queen Elizabeth Way. Parks are very hard to get to since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to visit.

Housing

Roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas renters occupy the remainder. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about 70% of dwellings in this area, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. About one third of properties in this part of the town were constructed in the 1980s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
